This is certainly better than the previous 2 options but I still don't think this is as good as it could be. The font used is just ODD. It appears to be the same font the actual log of RavenDB is. I don't really think you should be concerned to weave the logo explicitly into the book title. I really think it should just be plain text "Inside RavenDB 3.0" using a standard font such as Verdana or the superior Segui UI font.
I really think the raven on the book title should be your logo raven with the block trail. This is where you establish your brand.
By including the RavenDB logo and then a more photo-realistic raven that is half the book cover, you give way more precedence to the raven that is NOT your logo. This is brand dilution.
You really should not be using any raven anywhere except the one that is part of your logo.

Russel, We aren't giving up on our current logo, no. The book is being worked under, hopefully in a few months.
