It would be boring if one didn't have to worry about an expiring licence every few months. Or not have to scrupulously optimise every operation, because you are limited to a single small core in the cluster in the free version. Other databases are much more boring ;)

We don't have to consider support as a revenue center, instead, we can focus on high quality software, that doesn't need expensive support contracts, which is how most of our competitors are making money.
