RavenDB 3.0 Release date: 25 Nov, 2014
Barring anything major, we’ll be releasing RavenDB 3.0 in 5 days .
It will be a stable release and you’re encourage to move to it as soon as it is available, using the Esent database.
The Voron database is still in RC mode (mostly because we’re paranoid and want to have more real world experience before we go full forward with this), but it is going to be fully supported.
Upgrading instances will use Esent, and new databases will default to Esent unless you explicitly select Voron.

Great!!!
That is great news! Congratulations on getting it out the door.
Woohooo! A little pre-Thanksgiving joy in the form of RavenDB 3.0 RTM. :-) Congrats to the whole RavenDB team, wish I was there in the Hadera office to celebrate this HUGE release with you guys. :-)
Just wanted to say to Oren and to all the readers here, it's been an pleasure working with the RavenDB crew - such an awesome team to work with the last few months. I'm really proud to have contributed something useful to RavenDB 3.0 (hooray for HTML5 tooling! Heheh).
Let the party begin!
Big accomplishment - congrats Oren!!!
Hi Oren, Will I be able to run ravendb with voron on mono? It doesn't have to be production ready, just for dev...
Frank, Not yet, we have proven that we can do it, but we haven't done it yet.
When will RavenHQ be implementing 3.0?
Well, if you have any sort of plan with regard to mono support that is actionable in terms of pull requests, let us know.
Frank, First step is going to be to get Voron working on Mono. We have made a lot of progress there, but we still need to make sure that all the tests for Voron runs there. After that, it is just a matter of getting RavenDB to fully compile and run on Mono.
