RavenDB 3.0 RTM!
RavenDB 3.0 is out and about!
It is available on out downloads page and on Nuget. You can read all about what is new with RavenDB 3.0 here.
This is a stable release, fully supported. It is the culmination of over a year and a half of work, a very large team and enough improvements to make you dance a jig.
You can play with the new version here, and all of our systems has been running on 3.0 for a while now, of course.
And with that, I’m exhausted, thrilled and very excited. Have fun playing with 3.0, and check by tomorrow to see some of the cool Wow features.

Congrats! RavenDB 3.0 looks awesome!
This is so AWESOME. Any word yet on when we'll see 3.0 available to upgrade/migrate on RavenHQ? I'd do it tomorrow if I could :)
AWESOME! :D
That's great! Been looking forward to it ever since your presentations in Minneapolis this year.
Can you throw us some lines on the upgrade of existing systems ? Can we use a v2 client against a v3 server ? Can we use a v3 client against a v2 server ? Is the server v2 to v3 upgrade the usual steps for a new v2 build or are there extra steps required ?
Frits, A v2 client against v3 server, works. A v3 client against v2, won't work. You can just update the binaries, and it will auto upgrade for you.
Thanks :-)
Ayende, I wonder if you would have any opinions on the Bowtie application. Bowtie aligns short sequences of DNA to a full genome, such as the human genome. It does this quickly by preparing several index files in advance, which it stores as regular files on the file system. It would be interesting either if you would do a code review on the source, or just to hear your opinion on the indexing process that it uses.

Ben, I'm not really sure what the relation for RavenDB 3.0 RTM is. I'm afraid that I don't currently have the free time to look more deeply at this
