Yes another by Mercedes Lackey, about a serial killer and a witch that tries to catch it. I noticed several strange things about this book:

  1. It wasn't a Valdamar novel, and I really wanted to read one, but it was still a good story.
  2. It takes place in ~1986, and I just couldn't believe some things that happened there. The character search for a pay-phone (why not use a cellular? Oh, they didn't have one then) the character goes to the library (Why not use Google? Oh, they didn't have one then) and a hundred and one similar things.
  3. Most of the characters that were killed were bad managers for programming teams (no programming experiance, no managment experiance, thinking about shifting the blame, 6 hours unpaid overtime...).

I thought it was very funny, until they started killing kids.
