I used to love that cartoon, but still didn't get it. I thought the comment was a clue as to why it is funny. Doesn't do it for me I'm afraid :-)

Remember that old show "Inspector Gadget." Well he would say "Go Go Gadget" before any action that he would do. i.e. "Go Go Gadget Run." Get it? It is not as funny as the number of sales joke though.
