It was quite annoying.  I just wanted to look at the code, not deal with setting up a whole environment.  Just another example of how some tools get in the way.

if we all agreed on the same platform, then we all would be the same, and being the same wouldnt be any fun at all now would it? ;)
  
  
we developers inevitably garner some strong opinions about how we do things, and its good to argue like this because you learn, even if both sides are just different means to the same end
