Great article!!

Yes, it's kind of a "self help book", programmer-oriented! :) But to me, it's rather opening-minder...

You know, sometimes we have to deal with our own desmotivation when contacting with new technologies. But if we keep in mind some of these topics you've just described, and essentially don't give up(!!), we get there!!! Slower or faster, that depends on one's capacity to assimilate new things. But even just trying get's you more far that not trying at all!

Congrats! :)

And Ayende, great post, and what Harry says is absolutely true. I remember the first time i went to a Spring kind of conference, and when I left the room I said to myself : "I really don't get it why should I need Spring". Years later, I realize it's importance, and get the full picture. Reading parts of DDD helped me a lot.

For those who don't have the Pragmatic Programmer book, it's essentialy what Ayende says.
