ALT.Net Traffic
I was looking at the traffic numbers for the ALT.Net, and I wasn't quite sure that I should believe them:
This has got to be the most active group that I have ever taken part at, and about 90% of the discussions there are interesting. The signal to noise ratio is simply amazing.
Of course, the mere quantity of information presents a problem:

Not to be a smart aleck, but as someone with a background in electrical engineering, I think the term you're looking for is "signal to noise" ratio instead of "noise to signal".
I don't mean to nitpick, I'm just a big fan of your blog and ATL.NET.

Its crazy busy. I don't know how you keep up with just the on alt.net discussion group.
I unsubscribed because there is a lot of noise. I've assumed that if anything interesting happens, someone on my blog roll will blog about it (usually Chad Myers or you).
Not said to diss the altnetconf yahoo group in any way. Just acknowledging the load of messages is past my limit.
