VS SP1: What the HELL is it doing?

You know you are in a bad shape when installing a patch takes longer than installing an OS. The SP1 Setup has been running for over two hours now, and it is not done yet. About 30 minutes ago it prompt me to close SQL Management Studio, so I assume it is still alive.

Microsoft, this has better be worth it...

Resharper requires one of the fixes included in the service pack. Installing that single fix when I did my resharper install took 30 min. I guess I'll make this an overnight service pack :)

Yeah, I'm installing it on two laptops right now. Both of them dual core, one with 2GB RAM, the other with 3GB RAM. And it's waaayyy slow. I agree. I hope this makes VS 2005 feel like more of an RTM product.

After almost an hour it popped a window saying &quot;you have to uninstall the VS Web project in order to continue&quot;.
This installation is ruining my productive hours.
